A new dimension of recycling at Kozminski University

11.04.2025

The concept of a circular economy is becoming increasingly significant in the context of protecting our planet. Kozminski University, with its strong commitment to sustainable development and the environment, drives initiatives that encourage active participation in recycling efforts. With the support of the University’s Patron, Elemental, real changes are being made in the daily surroundings of the campus.

Modern waste collection bins for electronic waste, provided by Terra Recycling, have been placed across the campus. Available in three sizes and designated for different purposes, the bins are strategically located to ensure convenient and safe collection of used electronics. The large bin, located outside the building, is designed for larger electronic waste such as mobile phones, laptops, and other devices. The medium bin, found in locations such as the Atrium D, is intended for smaller electronic waste, while the smallest bin for used batteries is located next to the reception area.

The recycling campaign is a collective effort, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of responsible waste management and ecological responsibility. Sorting electronic waste on campus is more than just a practical solution – it represents a step toward sustainable development.

This is just the beginning. Together with Elemental, Kozminski University has planned a series of events to celebrate Earth Day, including competitions with prizes and educational campaigns focused on electronic waste recycling.
