Kozminski University and the University of Wroclaw have formalised cooperation to develop digital humanities, business archiving and digital services for the GLAM sector.

During the recent jubilee conference of the University Library in Wroclaw, “When Tradition Meets Technology” (the 80th anniversary of the University Library and the 20th anniversary of the University of Wroclaw Digital Library), the official exchange of letters of intent establishing cooperation between Kozminski University and the University of Wroclaw took place.

The cooperation will cover activities aimed at developing digital humanities and business archiving, as well as modern digital services for the GLAM sector (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) – including, among others, solutions supporting digitisation and access to collections. On the Kozminski University side, the agreement will be implemented by the Centre for Business History and the Kozminski University Library; on the University of Wroclaw side – by the University Centre for Digital Humanities and the University Library.

Digital business archives and modern digital humanities tools are becoming one of the key resources for the development of science and the economy today. “Cooperation with the University of Wroclaw enables us to combine the perspective of a business university with the experience of a strong humanities centre, and together develop solutions that matter for academia, business and cultural institutions,” emphasises Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University.
