The "Financial Times" announced which universities best educate future managers in the field of economics. The top ten list of institutions in the world is closed by Kozminski University and opened by the University of Chicago.
The Polish university is second in Europe, after the Bocconi University in Milan. This is a great success, but first and foremost a token of appreciation for the achievements of leading economists, professors associated with our university: Grzegorz W. Kołodko, Andrzej K. Koźmiński, Adam Noga, and outstanding representatives of the younger generation of scholars, professors Marcin Piątkowski and Jacek Tomkiewicz.
According to the "Financial Times", the first and last places in the top ten are historically linked by the figure of the great Polish economist Oskar Lange (passed away in London in 1965), who taught at the University of Chicago and in Warsaw. The works of Oskar Lange contributed to the emergence of strong centers of economic thought, which continue to develop.
The list of universities with a high level of economic education complements the Financial Times' global ranking of the top 100 Executive MBA programs. This ranking is based on graduates' surveys, career research, and assessment of the general conditions of studying. Kozminski University is ranked 54th in the world and 1st in Central Europe.
