Kozminski University wins the title of Academic Champion of Poland in Equestrian Sports

The 9th edition of the Academic Championships of Poland in Equestrian Sports was held in Radzionków from May 31 to June 2, 2025. Once again, Kozminski University claimed the top spot in the team classification, confirming its strong position in university-level equestrian sports.

Particularly noteworthy were the results in the dressage – professional category. The gold medal was awarded to Julia Rozesłańska (riding Tara), while the silver went to Julia Janecka (riding Fiandro) – both representing Kozminski University.

In the overall classification, which included results from all events – show jumping and dressage – the Kozminski University team successfully defended its title as the Academic Champion of Poland, finishing ahead of the Medical University of Łódź and the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

The championships featured two disciplines – show jumping and dressage – each divided into amateur and professional categories. Nearly 150 riders from almost 50 universities across Poland took part in the event. The competition was organized by the University Sports Association (AZS) of the University of Silesia and took place at the Lider Equestrian Club in Radzionków – one of the best-equipped facilities of its kind in Poland.

The Academic Championships of Poland are organized by the University Sports Association and co-financed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of the University of Silesia, Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, Wojciech Saługa, and the Mayor of Radzionków, Dr. Gabriel Tobor.
