Students from the EX ANTE Student Research Club at Kozminski University took part in a study visit to the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland. The visit provided participants with an opportunity to gain insight into the work of the institution responsible for representing the State Treasury and to better understand the practical aspects of handling high-value and complex cases.
A key highlight of the meeting was the presence of the President of the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland, Artur Woźnicki, along with a team of legal counsels. Students had the opportunity to engage in discussions with legal practitioners, including Olga Biernacka, Michel Ryba, Marzena Witkowska, and Jonasz Pieckowski. The meeting enabled participants to deepen their knowledge in areas such as:
• representation of the State Treasury’s interests, • negotiations and mediation in commercial disputes, • practical challenges of working as legal counsel at the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the President and the legal counsels of the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland for their warm welcome and for leading such an insightful and substantive discussion,” said Dr. Marcin Stępień, academic supervisor of the EX ANTE Student Research Club.
The visit also provided an opportunity to confront theoretical knowledge with real-world professional challenges and to explore potential career paths within public institutions.
