Kozminski University has been ranked first among non-public universities in the 2026 Rzeczpospolita Law Schools Ranking. The distinction confirms that the University's modern approach to legal education – combining academic excellence, practical learning and an interdisciplinary perspective – effectively prepares graduates for successful legal careers.
For years, the Rzeczpospolita Law Schools Ranking has been regarded as one of Poland's most respected assessments of legal education. It is based on objective indicators, including academic potential, quality of teaching, graduate employment outcomes, evaluations by the Polish Accreditation Committee, and graduates' performance in entrance examinations for legal professional training programmes (advocate, attorney-at-law, notary, and bailiff). This year's methodology placed even greater emphasis on teaching quality and graduates' career outcomes.
The result reflects Kozminski University's long-term educational philosophy, which combines a strong foundation in legal knowledge with the competencies required in today's rapidly evolving world – from technology law, data protection and cybersecurity to negotiation, communication and business skills.
"Today's lawyers must understand not only the law itself, but also the economic, technological and social environment in which it operates. That is why we teach law through an interdisciplinary, practice-oriented approach based on real-world challenges our graduates will face throughout their professional careers," says Prof. Bartłomiej Nowak, Dean of the College of Law and Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Administration.
Law students at Kozminski University develop their skills by working on real-life case studies, participating in mock trials, negotiations and mediations, and using a modern courtroom and virtual reality technologies. The curriculum combines legal education with management, economics and emerging technologies, preparing graduates for careers in law firms, courts, public administration, business, and the technology sector.
This year's ranking also highlights the growing popularity of legal studies in Poland. More than 44,700 students are currently enrolled in integrated Master's programmes in law – over 2,000 more than a year ago – and nearly one in three chooses a non-public university. At the same time, the overall pass rate for entrance examinations to legal professional training programmes fell to 68.8%, making the quality of legal education and graduate preparedness even more significant.
Being ranked the top non-public law school is further evidence that Kozminski University's responsible, practice-oriented and forward-looking approach to legal education delivers measurable results – not only in independent rankings but also in the professional success of its graduates.
