Kozminski University has signed a cooperation agreement with the District Police Headquarters Warsaw VI. This is a significant step toward strengthening the relationship between the academic community and public services, with the shared goal of fostering a safer, more aware, and socially responsible society.
The cooperation will encompass a wide range of educational and community-based initiatives. The agreement provides for the active involvement of police officers in academic life through participation in university classes, as well as conducting training sessions and lectures on legal, criminological, and social topics. Kozminski University students will have the opportunity to gain firsthand insights into police work through study visits to the Police Headquarters and participation in demonstrations and practical workshops. Joint initiatives – Including prevention programs, civic awareness campaigns, and social engagement activities—will be addressed both to the university community and to the broader public in Warsaw.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Kozminski University by Rector, Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek. The District Police Headquarters Warsaw VI was represented by Chief Superintendent Robert Matusik.
“Building strong connections between academia and practice is a cornerstone of modern education. This partnership with the Police is not only an opportunity to enrich our academic offering, but also a direct response to growing social needs in areas such as legal education, public safety, and civic engagement,” emphasized Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University.
The agreement is aligned with the university’s strategic commitment to social responsibility and its mission to actively co-create meaningful change in the surrounding community.
