The 9th Prague Night Half Marathon will start on 7 September 2024. The start and finish line will be located on the PGE Narodowe's meadows, where a running town will also be set up. Many attractions will be waiting for participants and guests - including food trucks, a children's zone and stands of partners and sponsors of the event with numerous surprises. The event will begin with the 5 km run at 7.30 p.m., the half marathon will start at 8.30 p.m. The route of both runs will lead through the main streets of Praga Północ. Everyone who finishes the half marathon and the 5k will receive a commemorative medal, which they will be able to personalise by engraving the time of their run on it.
This year's slogan of the half-marathon - Follow your passion - is intended to remind participants that the most important thing in sport is the joy of doing. Passion, determination and effort put into training are more important than talent or achievement. The Praga Half Marathon, organised continuously since 2014, has gained international recognition, as evidenced by the prestigious Road Race Label certificate awarded by World Athletics. This is confirmation that the Warsaw run meets the highest organisational and sporting standards.
‘We are extremely proud to once again be a partner of such an exceptional event as the Praga Night Half Marathon,’ emphasises Magdalena Budziszewska, Marketing Director. - This is not only a sporting challenge, but also an opportunity to integrate the academic community and promote a healthy lifestyle, which is extremely close to our hearts. Participation in the half marathon, both as runners and volunteers, gives our students and employees the opportunity to combine their passion for sport with the spirit of cooperation and involvement in the life of the local community. We invite everyone to cheer together during this unforgettable night full of sporting emotions,’ she adds.
Kozminski University, as sponsor of the event, actively supports the promotion of sport and a healthy lifestyle. The run will be attended by representatives of the university, including the Rector, Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, and more than 25 students and staff. A running group has already been established at the university, which is organising joint training sessions and preparing for the start. The university is also inviting volunteers to help organise the event. Students involved in volunteering will receive a three-hour exemption from physical education classes and T-shirts with the slogan ‘Sport Education Success’.
