Kozminski University joins international 4InnoPipe2 project under the EIT HEI Initiative

21.05.2025

The implementation of the 4InnoPipe2 project has officially begun under the EIT Higher Education Initiative (Cohort 4). Building on the success of the previous 4InnoPipe project, this new initiative aims to strengthen the role of higher education institutions as drivers of innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable, regenerative development. Kozminski University is proud to be the sole Polish academic partner in this prestigious international consortium.

The project focuses on the development and implementation of regenerative innovation ecosystems, particularly within the agri-food and pharmaceutical sectors. Activities span the full scope of university engagement – from education and research, through entrepreneurship support, to close collaboration with industry.

The international consortium includes the following partners:

  • University of Helsinki (Project Coordinator, Finland)
  • Reutlingen University (Germany)
  • Zagreb School of Economics and Management (Croatia)
  • Luxembourg School of Business (Luxembourg)
  • University of Pristina (Kosovo)
  • Kozminski University (Poland)
  • ELEKS (Technology company, Ukraine)
  • Virtual Center for Digital Innovation NOSC-UA DIH (Ukraine)

The project officially launched on 1 April 2025 and will run for two years. It promotes close cooperation between universities, enterprises, and socio-economic stakeholders, aiming to lay the foundations for long-term systemic transformation. Key objectives include the development of innovation capabilities, fostering entrepreneurial mindsets, and implementing forward-thinking business models.

4InnoPipe2 has been awarded funding under the EIT Higher Education Initiative Call for Proposals 2024, part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s mission to strengthen innovation capacity across Europe. A total of 47 projects were selected, involving 620 organisations from 46 countries – including 284 higher education institutions, 186 companies, and 150 other entities, such as research centres, public authorities, and NGOs.

The EIT HEI Initiative is the only European programme fully dedicated to enhancing the innovation potential of universities. Since its launch in 2021, it has supported over 500 higher education institutions – surpassing initial goals and contributing significantly to the development of Europe's innovation ecosystem.
