Prof. Katarzyna Malinowska and Dr. Piotr Kaczmarek-Kurczak have been appointed by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy to the Sectoral Skills Council – Space Sector. The newly established Council, operating under the Ministry, will focus on diagnosing the competence needs of the Polish space sector, preparing educational and development recommendations, and fostering integration within the community by building bridges between education and industry. The Council is organized and coordinated by Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A. (Industrial Development Agency) in partnership with the Polish Space Industry Association.
University experts in the Council
Prof. Katarzyna Malinowska heads the Center for Space Studies at Kozminski University and directs the postgraduate program “Entrepreneurship in the Space Industry.” She is also the recipient of the prestigious Rosalind Franklin Society Award 2023, which recognizes the achievements of women and minorities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Dr. Piotr Kaczmarek-Kurczak is a lecturer at the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics, a member of the Center for Space Studies, and an expert at the Future Industry Platform – a governmental institution supporting industrial transformation in line with the industry 4.0 concept. His research focuses on modern forms of entrepreneurship and innovative business models.
