Kozminski University has entered into a strategic partnership with the Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (PolSV Center). Signed by the Rector of Kozminski University, Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, and the President of PolSV Center, Prof. Piotr Moncarz, this agreement opens new opportunities for the university’s academic community by connecting Polish science and innovation with one of the most dynamic ecosystems in the world – Silicon Valley.
This partnership represents a unique opportunity to strengthen the ties between science and business, allowing the results of the university's research to gain greater visibility on the international stage. PolSV Center will promote Kozminski University’s research achievements, organize thematic seminars, workshops, and events that will introduce students, researchers, and industrial partners to key issues associated with Silicon Valley. This is not only an opportunity to exchange knowledge but also a practical path to building relationships with leaders in technology and innovation.
The collaboration also includes activities aimed at enhancing the university's international standing. Kozminski University has been awarded the prestigious title of "Partner of Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship," along with access to the center’s resources and infrastructure. Furthermore, a specially appointed Program Council, comprising representatives from both institutions, will oversee and plan joint initiatives, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the projects undertaken.
As Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University, stated:
The partnership with PolSV Center strengthens our mission of integrating science with practice and opens up opportunities for building bridges between Polish science and the global knowledge-based economy. This is a unique chance to showcase the potential of our researchers and students in such a prestigious location as Silicon Valley. We believe that our joint initiatives will serve as a catalyst for changes in education, research, and innovation in Poland.
As part of the collaboration, numerous events are planned, including thematic seminars for the academic and professional community, workshops on intellectual property protection, commercialization of research, and presentations of innovative projects developed at the university. PolSV Center will also support Polish startups and spin-offs entering the U.S. market, a key step in building the global competitiveness of the Polish economy.
Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship already collaborates with leading Polish universities, such as Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, and Cracow University of Technology, strengthening the position of Polish science in the global innovation environment. Now, Kozminski University joins this prestigious group of partners, underscoring its international ambitions and commitment to developing innovative projects on a global scale.
The collaboration with PolSV Center opens up new possibilities not only for the university’s academic community but also for Polish science and business on a global level. Kozminski University researchers will gain unprecedented access to the knowledge and expertise of Silicon Valley’s experts. This is not just a chance to develop competencies but also an opportunity to establish connections with global leaders in technology and innovation. Projects implemented as part of this collaboration will help elevate the international recognition of Polish scientific and technological achievements, while also enabling university graduates to more easily enter the global market.
The partnership with PolSV Center is also a symbolic bridge between Warsaw and Silicon Valley, highlighting the university’s international reach and its dedication to creating value through science, education, and innovation.
