Kozminski University and Totalizator Sportowy expand cooperation in project management

01.06.2026

Kozminski University and Totalizator Sportowy have signed letter of intent concerning cooperation in the development and delivery of a tailor-made project management development programme. The programme will be addressed to employees of Totalizator Sportowy and will respond to the needs of several groups of participants, including representatives of business units, project managers, management staff, and project stakeholders.

The letter of intent concerning the cooperation was signed by Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University; Dr Sylwia Hałas-Dej, Vice-Rector for Development and External Relations and Dean of Kozminski Executive Business School; Beata Stelmach, President of the Management Board of Totalizator Sportowy; and Witold Galik, Member of the Management Board of Totalizator Sportowy.

The main assumption of the cooperation is the joint development of the concept of the programme, preparation of its substantive scope and teaching methods, as well as the design of training modules responding to the needs of different groups of Totalizator Sportowy employees. Educational classes and workshops will be delivered by experts from Kozminski University.

As part of the programme, the University plans to use a variety of development formats, including workshops, practical classes, case studies, elements of mentoring or coaching, project work by participants, and other teaching methods agreed by the parties.

"Contemporary organisations need not only knowledge of project management, but above all the ability to act effectively in a complex and changing environment. That is why the programme we will prepare together with Totalizator Sportowy will be strongly rooted in organisational practice and in the real challenges faced by participants. Our role as a business school is to create educational solutions that are not ready-made products, but responses to specific business needs," says Dr Sylwia Hałas-Dej, Vice-Rector for Development and External Relations, Dean of the Kozminski Executive Business School.

Totalizator Sportowy is one of the largest and most recognisable Polish companies, operating continuously for nearly 70 years. The company consistently develops the competences of its employees, responding to challenges related to organisational, digital, and business transformation.

The planned project management programme is the next stage of cooperation between Kozminski University and Totalizator Sportowy. In September 2023, the company’s leaders took part in a programme comprising several dozen hours of practical teaching in the areas of organisation, people management, and the development of managerial competences.

"The continuation of our cooperation with Totalizator Sportowy shows that effective managerial and expert education is based on partnership, dialogue, and a strong understanding of the organisation. We are pleased to support a company of such significance for the Polish market in developing competences that directly translate into the quality of management, project delivery, and people development. This is an example of cooperation between a university and business in which academic knowledge meets the practice of a large, dynamic organisation," adds Dr Sylwia Hałas-Dej.

For many years, Kozminski University has been delivering development programmes for companies and institutions, designed with specific organisational challenges in mind. Employers investing in the development of managerial and expert competences are increasingly involved in the co-creation of programmes so that they respond as closely as possible to the needs of their teams, leaders, and development strategies.

Kozminski University’s experience in managerial education is confirmed, among others, by its positions in the Financial Times rankings, which place the University among the world’s best business schools offering open and customised development programmes.
