Kozminski University and the Second Branch of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) in Warsaw have entered into a cooperation agreement focused on joint educational initiatives and the exchange of practical knowledge. The partnership aims to strengthen the relationship between academia and public institutions, creating a space where theory meets practice.
The agreement was signed during an official meeting attended by Professor Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University; Beata Pawlińska-Wiak, Director of ZUS's Second Branch in Warsaw; and Professor Bartłomiej Nowak, Vice-Rector for External Relations.
The cooperation framework includes joint initiatives, study visits, and the participation of ZUS experts in practical classes for students. Both institutions expressed their commitment to sharing expertise, educational materials, and knowledge relevant to each other's areas of operation.
“Our goal is to ensure that legal and management education remains closely connected to the realities of public institutions and civil society organizations. Agreements like this give students the opportunity to understand how the state functions from the inside, while offering experts a space to share their experience and insights,” emphasized Professor Bartłomiej Nowak.
The Second Branch of ZUS in Warsaw is a well-established partner, open to collaboration with the academic sector. The joint activities will benefit not only students and university staff, but also the institutions themselves, enabling them to respond more effectively to educational and social needs.
“As a socially responsible institution, we are committed to fulfilling all our statutory obligations, including promoting knowledge about the social insurance system. Higher education institutions are a natural partner for such educational efforts. This agreement paves the way for exchanging experience and sharing expert knowledge grounded in practice,” said Beata Pawlińska-Wiak, Director of ZUS’s Second Branch in Warsaw.
This collaboration aligns with Kozminski University’s broader strategy of actively building relationships with both business and institutional stakeholders, integrating academic education with practical experience across multiple dimensions.
