Kozminski University and Bank Millennium extend their strategic partnership for another three years

30.09.2026

Kozminski University and Bank Millennium are continuing a partnership that combines education, knowledge exchange and a long-term commitment to talent development. Students will gain further opportunities to learn from financial sector professionals, while the bank’s employees will develop their skills and share their experience with the university community.

Bank Millennium will remain a Strategic Sponsor of Kozminski University for another three years. The partnership in this form began in 2023, when the bank also became involved in developing the University’s endowment fund, which provides long-term support for education, talent development and academic research. The cooperation agreement was signed by Joao Bras Jorge, Chairman of the Management Board of Bank Millennium, and Professor Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University.

“Economic development requires investment in knowledge, talent and responsible leadership. Together with Bank Millennium, we are creating an environment in which business actively contributes to educating future generations, while the University shares the knowledge organisations need to grow. Continuing this partnership gives us the long-term perspective needed to pursue initiatives whose value develops over the years. The bank’s commitment to the University’s endowment fund is an important expression of this approach to education,” says Professor Grzegorz Mazurek, Rector of Kozminski University.

“Cooperation with the academic community is particularly important today for developing an economy built on knowledge, innovation and the ability to compete in the global market. It is becoming increasingly clear that sustained economic growth requires more effective ways of bringing together the potential of academia, business and financial institutions. Where these worlds meet, new ideas, skills and solutions emerge to address the challenges of the future.

For Bank Millennium, cooperation with universities is an important part of building an organisation that is open to knowledge, diverse perspectives and innovation. Through dialogue with researchers, students and experts, we can better understand our customers’ changing needs, develop skills for the future and create solutions that support entrepreneurship and the economy as a whole,” said Joao Bras Jorge, Chairman of the Management Board of Bank Millennium.

In the next phase of the partnership, Bank Millennium experts will take part in conferences, lectures and alumni meetings organised by the University. These will give the university community opportunities to discuss the challenges facing the financial sector and explore practical applications of the knowledge gained during their studies.

“Direct contact with practitioners helps students better understand how decisions are made in organisations and what skills different professional roles require. Mentoring also provides space to discuss individual ambitions and choices. Our faculty, in turn, contribute knowledge grounded in research and experience in management education. We want this mutual learning to underpin the next phase of our partnership with Bank Millennium,” emphasises Dr Sylwia Hałas-Dej, Vice-Rector for Development and External Relations at Kozminski University.

The partnership will also support the development of the bank’s employees. University faculty will deliver webinars for them on management, the economy, new technologies and other topics addressing current business challenges.
