Kozminski University proudly served as the academic partner of the jubilee 10th edition of the Wizz Air Warsaw Praga Night Half Marathon & Praska 5K RUN, held on September 6, 2025. This unique sporting event brought thousands of participants from across Poland to the starting line, and the Kozminski community was visible not only on the course, but also in three dedicated cheering zones – chill, water, and music.
Students, alumni, faculty, MBA participants, and even the Rector of Kozminski University – Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek – took part in the run. In total, nearly 200 members of the Kozminski community completed the 5 km and 21 km distances together, demonstrating that values such as perseverance, teamwork, determination, and passion connect the worlds of sport and business. These are the very same competences we develop every day at the university – essential both for career success and for crossing the finish line.
This year’s edition took place under the motto “Run Your Story”, emphasizing that every race is a personal narrative – about pushing one’s limits, the power of community, and the unique atmosphere of running together. Kozminski University perfectly embodied this message, showing that sport – much like education and professional development – is a journey full of challenges, achievements, and inspiring stories that we create together.
During the event, the Kozminski community supported runners through specially prepared points: the chill zone, a place to relax and connect before and after the race; the water zone, where our volunteers handed out water to participants; and the music zone, where students created an incredible atmosphere of motivation and encouragement. A special round of applause goes to Kozminski students and the Student Government for their extraordinary energy and commitment – their support ensured that every runner could truly feel the strength of community.
Kozminski University was not only an active participant, but also a spirited supporter – exactly as we do every day within our academic community. Our presence was felt both physically and mentally along the route: exchanging high-fives, motivating each other, and celebrating every kilometer together. The best runners were awarded medals and prizes by Magdalena Budziszewska, Director of Marketing and Recruitment at Kozminski University.
It was a night full of emotions, record-breaking performances, and an unforgettable atmosphere. The route through the streets of Warsaw’s Praga district, excellent organization, and passionate cheering made this event one to remember. Kozminski University is proud to support physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and community-building initiatives – not only within the university walls, but also far beyond them.
