Katarzyna Chałubińska-Jentkiewicz received the title of Professor of Social Sciences in the discipline of Legal Sciences

The President of the Republic of Poland has granted the title of Professor of Social Sciences in the discipline of Legal Sciences to Katarzyna Chałubińska-Jentkiewicz, a distinguished faculty member at Kozminski University. This prestigious recognition acknowledges her significant contribution to the development of science, as well as her research and achievements in the fields of law, digital media, and cybersecurity.

Prof. Katarzyna Chałubińska-Jentkiewicz is an outstanding expert in social sciences and law, affiliated with Kozminski University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Warsaw and completed her postdoctoral qualification (habilitation) at Jagiellonian University. She is a legal counsel and currently serves as the Director of the Domain Name Registry at NASK PIB.

Her professional experience includes working as a lawyer at the National Broadcasting Council, Polsat TV, and TVP S.A.. From 2011 to 2018, she served as the Deputy Director of the National Audiovisual Institute. She was also a long-time researcher at the National Defense Academy (AON) and War Studies University (ASZWOJ) and, until 2024, the Director of the Academic Center for Cybersecurity Policy.

For many years, Prof. Chałubińska-Jentkiewicz has been actively involved in shaping digital policy and national security. She has served as a member of the Council for Digitization for three terms and was also part of the Security and Defense Council within the National Development Council under the President of Poland. She is the founder, publisher, and editor-in-chief of the prestigious journal Cybersecurity and Law.

As a researcher, she specializes in legal regulations concerning digital media, cybersecurity, and intellectual property protection. Her work explores the impact of digitalization and emerging technologies on state governance and individual legal rights. She effectively combines theory with practical experience in her research.

She is the author and co-author of numerous publications, including monographs such as: The Law of New Technologies (Prawo nowych technologii), Cyber Liability (Cyberodpowiedzialność), Security – Privacy – Identity (Bezpieczeństwo – Prywatność – Tożsamość), Information Protection in Cyberspace (Ochrona informacji w cyberprzestrzeni), Information Security Law (Prawo bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego), Audiovisual Media: Regulatory Conflicts in the Digital Age (Media audiowizualne. Konflikt regulacyjny w dobie cyfryzacji), Legal Protection of Digital Content (Prawna ochrona treści cyfrowych), Recognizing Excellence in Legal and Digital Research.
