Kozminski University, in collaboration with the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, invites you to participate in the International Conference on Economic and Financial Modeling (ICEFMod 2025). The conference aims to bring together academics, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss the latest quantitative methods and their applications in financial markets, institutions, and economic systems.
The event will take place on September 19, 2025, at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw and will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participation both on-site and online.
The organizers encourage submissions of both theoretical and empirical research. The conference topics cover a wide range of fields, including financial econometrics, credit risk modeling, portfolio management, investment strategies, market microstructure, corporate finance, financial stability, climate risk in banking, behavioral finance, macroeconomic and microeconomic modeling, economic policy, and the political economy of war and conflicts.
A key feature of this year’s edition will be a special panel on the Ukrainian economy and the impact of the war on Ukraine and neighboring countries. The panel seeks contributions analyzing the economic consequences of the conflict, financial stability, trade disruptions, reconstruction challenges, and broader geopolitical effects. Selected papers from this panel will be invited for publication in a special issue of the Eastern European Economics journal. Additionally, conference participants will have the opportunity to submit their papers to Economic Modeling and Econometric Research in Finance journals.
ICEFMod 2025 is not only a platform for presenting research but also an opportunity for academic discussion and knowledge exchange. The program will feature competitive paper sessions, keynote speeches from leading experts, networking opportunities with scholars and industry professionals, and valuable feedback from specialists in economic modeling.
