On March 22, 2025, Arena Ursynów in Warsaw once again became the stage for thrilling sports competition. Over 650 players from across Poland took part in the 21st edition of Koźmiński Trio Basket – the largest 3x3 basketball tournament for high school students in the country.
Organized by Kozminski University, this event has been a fixture on the university’s calendar of sports initiatives for over two decades. Held as a non-profit initiative, the tournament promotes an active lifestyle among young people and fosters a spirit of healthy competition.
This year’s edition saw participation from 138 teams – 110 boys’ teams and 28 girls’ teams – who competed in line with fair play principles, demonstrating impressive skill, determination, and engagement.
The tournament was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Mayor of Warsaw, and the Polish Basketball Association, underscoring its prestige and recognition in the sports community.
The top-performing teams were awarded attractive prizes and sports scholarships, supporting their development both on the court and in their academic journey.
The event also featured special performances by basketball freestyle champions: Piotr “Grabo” Grabowski, Bartosz Szwed, and Damian “Pszczelarz” Olejniczak. The audience had the chance to participate in engaging contests with prizes, adding to the festive atmosphere. The event was hosted by Michał “Michu” Sobkowski from Radio Eska, with a dynamic musical setting provided by DJ Gambit.
Koźmiński Trio Basket is more than just numbers and scores – it’s about passion, energy, and top-level competition. Each game brought unforgettable moments, and the enthusiasm of the players showed the powerful role of sport in shaping character and building community.
A heartfelt thank-you to all participants, coaches, fans, and partners for making this event so special.
See you next year!
