A student of Kozminski University – Wiktor Ćwiek – won a gold medal at the Academic Championships of Warsaw and Mazovia, triumphing in the 50 m butterfly event. This outstanding achievement demonstrates that ambition and consistency can lead to spectacular results – even without professional coaching support.

“This season was a challenge. I don’t have a personal coach, so I prepare and plan my training sessions myself. This medal is a huge reward for all the effort I’ve put in. But it’s not over yet – this coming weekend I’m taking part in a swimming marathon: four hours in the water without a break,” said Wiktor Ćwiek.

The competition, held at the swimming pool on Banacha Street in Warsaw, brought together the best academic swimmers from universities in the capital and the Mazovia region. The finals were conducted at a fast pace, with an exceptionally high level of performance. A total of 15 events were held – individual and relay races.

Wiktor Ćwiek’s victory is not only a reason for pride but also an inspiration for other students who combine their studies with a passion for sport. His story proves that with determination; one can achieve a great deal – even in challenging circumstances.

The Kozminski University community congratulates all participants on their outstanding performances!
