CEMJ Advances to Q2 in the SCImago Ranking – A major international success for Kozminski University

Central European Management Journal (CEMJ) – a scientific journal published by Kozminski University in cooperation with Emerald Publishing – has recorded a significant rise in prestige within the international academic community. In the latest 2024 SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), CEMJ has advanced from the third quartile (Q3) to the second quartile (Q2) in the category “Business, Management and Accounting (miscellaneous).”

The journal’s SJR indicator increased from 0.260 in 2023 to 0.459 in 2024, reflecting the growing impact of the articles published on the development of management science. At the same time, the number of citations per document over two years (Cites per Doc. 2 years) rose to 3.456, confirming the increasing interest of the academic community in CEMJ's content.

CEMJ is indexed in both Scopus and the Web of Science (Emerging Sources Citation Index). Since 2024, it has also been included in the prestigious Academic Journal Guide published by the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS). The journal currently holds an impact factor of 1.3 and is listed in the Polish Ministry of Education and Science’s database of ranked academic journals, with 100 points assigned. CEMJ is published under a Diamond Open Access model, meaning there are no fees for authors and full, free access for readers.

The Editor-in-Chief of the journal is Professor Paweł Korzyński from the Department of Human Resource Management at Kozminski University. The journal’s scope covers all aspects of management, both in public and private sector institutions.

The promotion to the second quartile in the SCImago ranking confirms the high quality of the research published and the commitment of the editorial team and contributing authors to the development of management science.
