Students of Kozminski University are invited to apply for funding under the Student Research Grants programme. The call for applications is open from 3 November to 3 December 2025.
The programme supports students’ academic development by enabling them to pursue original research ideas and collaborate with academic supervisors and external institutions. Its aim is to strengthen the student research community and foster an environment where young researchers can test their ideas, share experiences, and engage in interdisciplinary projects combining theory with practice.
Who can apply
Applications are open to students who are members of registered student organisations at Kozminski University – individually or as teams – with the positive recommendation of the organisation’s academic supervisor. For projects implemented jointly by members of several student organisations, approval from all supervisors is required.
Funding rules and conditions

Maximum amount of funding: PLN 6,000 (may be increased upon the decision of the Rector, if duly justified)

Funding allocation: available until the Rector’s dedicated budget is exhausted
Evaluation criteria
The competition committee assesses applications both formally and substantively, awarding points in five categories:
- Measurable project outcomes, impact on the environment, and dissemination of results – 0–40 points (e.g. publications, conferences, research events, implementation of findings, cooperation with external partners)
- Project scope – 0–20 points (regional, national or international reach, potential for promoting the University)
- Relevance to Kozminski University’s key research areas: sustainable development, digital transformation, ethical leadership – 0–10 points
- Substantive and formal accuracy of the application – 0–10 points (clarity of objectives, research methodology, timeline, compliance with regulations)
- Adequacy of the budget in relation to the project’s scope and objectives – 0–20 points (realistic and justified expenses, proportionality of costs to expected outcomes)
A total of up to 100 points can be awarded.
Competition process
- The committee, appointed by the Rector, conducts formal and substantive evaluations.
- Applicants may be asked to correct formal deficiencies within a specified deadline.
- After evaluation, a preliminary ranking list is submitted to the Vice-Rector for Students and Quality Assurance.
- The Vice-Rector makes the final decision on funding allocation.
- The results and ranking list are communicated electronically to applicants, academic supervisors, and the Student Council Board.
