Artificial intelligence law - an innovative Master's programme at Kozminski University

In response to the dynamic development of technology, Kozminski University is launching a new Master's programme that is sure to attract the attention of future project managers, rapid engineers, new technology consultants, business development specialists and all artificial intelligence enthusiasts who see their professional future in this field. The two-year part-time programme will be taught in Polish and will start as early as October 2024. The Artificial Intelligence Law major is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who plan to work in technology-intensive industries. It prepares you to understand and apply the law in the context of the latest developments in AI, providing a solid theoretical foundation and intensive practical training.

- Developing artificial intelligence is becoming the source of almost all innovations in the economy, so the time has come for studies that train marketable specialists in this field emphasises - Prof. Bartlomiej Nowak, Vice-Rector for Cooperation with the Environment and Dean of the Faculty of Law at Kozminski University. - The European Digital Strategy indicates that emerging disruptive technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things and quantum technologies, will play a key role in strengthening the competitiveness and position of Member States in the global economy. Our aim is therefore to familiarise students with the legal foundations of the technological development and operation of AI in relation to other sciences.

The curriculum for the new Master's programme has been developed by scientists, experts and practitioners in the field of artificial intelligence and law. Teaching will take the form of workshops and projects using tools such as virtual reality. The programme will include opportunities to participate in international conferences, workshops and student exchanges to build global professional networks. In addition, the programme will include an extensive internship module, which will allow students to gain practical experience in renowned technology and consulting companies during their studies. 

Artificial Intelligence Law graduates will be prepared to work as AI specialists in technology companies, consulting firms and public administration. Interdisciplinary knowledge of the legal, ethical and technological aspects of the application of artificial intelligence will enable them to perform managerial, advisory and analytical functions. Completion of the programme is not only a Master's degree, but above all a solid preparation for actively shaping the future of technology in accordance with the highest legal and ethical standards.

As a result, you will acquire knowledge and skills that are important for the development of the economy. 

The programme of the new master's degree prepares students to respond appropriately to the dynamically changing technological environment that creates opportunities for the use of artificial intelligence. It develops skills for strategic thinking and action in small, medium and large companies, start-ups and corporations, national and international, operating in high-tech industries.
