Prof. Aneta Hryckiewicz, leader of the Big Data Analysis master's program at KU gave an interview in which she described an alarming situation of the banking sector in Poland as well as analyzed the causes of the situation and its possible consequences.
"The banking sector, both in Poland and across Europe, is overloaded. About 200 different changes concerning new recommendations and regulations for global banking institutions are being made every day. This is three times more than in 2011. It has been estimated that there will be about 300 million pages of new changes for the sector by 2020. The costs associated with these burdens will thus increase by around 50%. Every bank in our part of the world will feel it. I have no doubts" – said Prof. Hryckiewicz.
