Kozminski University, the top Polish business school has established a strategic alliance with ESCP Europe, ranked amongst top European business schools by “Financial Times”.
The partnership is unique since it involves setting up permanent representative offices of both universities respectively on ESCP Europe’s Paris campus and in Warsaw.
This one of a kind strategic alliance will partner-up two of the most prestigious institutions in management education and build a solid bridge between two renowned business schools across Europe. Faculty from both institutions will spend time on their respective campuses in order to jointly work on research projects and exchange their know-how and expertise. Next to these research collaborations, this partnership will also lead to a cooperation in graduate programmes, executive education, as well as open up a large European pool of relations to the corporate world. Both schools will provide offices for the new partners at their respective locations.
From Kozminski University’s perspective, such an alliance with ESCP Europe is a logical consequence of its long-lasting commitment to international networking and expansion, partnering with renowned business schools, exchanging faculty and students, and attracting the best talent from Europe and around the world.
According to Professor Witold T. Bielecki, Rector of Kozminski University, the key feature of the top Polish business school is its focus on establishing a solid network of educational institutions that span different managerial, cultural and social traditions: “We have always been close to modern management thought, major corporations and other business establishments from different countries, including France. Such an approach has allowed us to constantly recruit many international students: 30% of our full time students come from overseas. These factors make Kozminski University stand out in the region and enhance our chances to contribute significantly to our new alliance with ESCP Europe”.
Professor Grzegorz Mazurek, Vice-Rector for International Relations, admits that: “Partnership with ESCP Europe is special to our university, since it sets up our permanent outpost at ESCP Europe campus in Paris, one of the top business and intellectual hubs in Europe and in the world. Our faculty, staff and students will certainly benefit from this new, strong relationship with ESCP Europe, and we are looking forward to concrete results of this cooperation”.
Professor Frank Bournois, Dean of ESCP Europe, states: “I am proud that ESCP Europe has the chance to add a further European city to its network via this strategic alliance with Kozminski University, our strongest partner in Central Europe. To be connected to the best business school in Central and Eastern Europe is a great honour and opens up a multitude of opportunities of all kinds”. Professor Andreas Kaplan, ESCP Europe’s Dean for Academic Affairs adds that “this partnership allows us to expose our students to this important and highly dynamic region in Europe and to provide them with many exciting, additional cross-cultural experiences”.
One of the joint upcoming projects will be MEB (Master in European Business). Based on an MBA-style curriculum, the MEB is an intensive general management programme with a strong cross-cultural approach, taught over one year across two countries to be chosen from ESCP Europe’s campuses, four international partners in Asia and Latin America, and Poland.
