We invite you to a guest lecture by Mauro Arturo Rivera León is a Professor of Constitutional Law at the Ibero-American University in Mexico.
Topic of the lecture:
"Human Rights in Latin America: the Interamerican Court of Human Rights as a Guardian".
The lecture will take place on December 13th, 2019, at 10:15 AM in Auditorium I, Building C.
He specializes in parliamentary and electoral law and in the institution of constitutional complaint (amparo). He is the director of research and case law studies in the office of the Supreme Court Judge of Mexico, González Alcántara.
Author of four books and several dozen scientific articles.
He has worked at the Max Planck Institute of Comparative Public Law at Heidelberg University and the Center for Law Philosophy at the Free University of Brussels. He also served as an analyst in case law at the Department of Studies and Analysis of the Constitutional Tribunal in Spain.
He has participated in many international scientific conferences. He has received several prestigious awards for his work, including the Centenario de la Constitución awarded by the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico.
