AI in business practice: Kozminski University graduates present working prototypes at CFO Roku 2026

Handling invoice enquiries, making better use of customer knowledge, forecasting sales and planning production were among the challenges tackled by graduates of Kozminski University’s postgraduate programme in AI in Finance and Corporate Controlling. Four teams presented working prototypes at the CFO Roku 2026 conference, demonstrating how artificial intelligence can support everyday business operations.

Organised by the “Dialog” CFO Club, the conference took place on 25 September at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It gave graduates an opportunity to present the results of their work to professionals responsible for managing corporate finances.

The projects were developed as part of the AIFINC programme, with mentoring from Professor Franjo Mlinarič, Bartosz Radziszewski and Jarosław Sokolnicki. Each began with a specific business need and a question: how could AI help improve processes and support decision-making?

One team presented an AI bot that answers suppliers’ questions about the status of their invoices. Another built a tool that captures customer knowledge scattered across employees’ emails and notes – Information that is difficult to access across an organisation and risks being lost when team members leave. The other two teams developed solutions for sales forecasting across a retail network and for an ice cream manufacturer facing seasonal demand, production planning, and inventory management challenges. The projects illustrated the range of potential AI applications and the importance of tailoring tools to a company’s circumstances and available data. All four solutions keep people involved in decision-making and take AI regulatory requirements into account. Responsible use of technology was a shared principle guiding the teams’ work.

The presentations at CFO Roku 2026 demonstrated how knowledge developed during postgraduate studies can be turned into working solutions to business challenges. They also illustrated the value of the partnership between Kozminski University and the “Dialog” CFO Club: finance leaders bring their experience into the classroom, while graduates develop tools that respond to business needs.
