Mentoring Program

2nd edition of the Kozminski University Mentoring Program

We are launching the second edition of the KU Mentoring Program.

The aim of the Program is to support young, talented ALK students in planning and realising their chosen career path.

The Mentoring Program is open to students in their final year of Bachelor's degree studies, all years of Master's degree studies and the 4th and 5th year of uniform Master's degree studies in law. The Program is coordinated by the Career Development & Cooperation with the Environment Office.

Żaneta Berus

Żaneta Berus - CEO and founder of the consulting company In2Win Business Consulting operating since
2011 in the MICE area; member of the board of the Event Industry Association in Poland, industry
international expert.
A graduate of the Poznań University of Economics, Northwestern Business University in Chicago and Executive MBA diploma at the Kozminski University.

Żaneta Berus held the prestigious position of the Consul Commercial at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago and was responsible for the promotion of the Polish economy on the American market. For 16 years she was associated with the EXPO XXI facility in Warsaw (belonged to English Expomedia Group). Since 2006 the Managing Director and the President of the Management Board.
Żaneta also worked as the Managing Director of Ptak Warsaw Expo for 2 years - the largest exhibition facility in Poland - being particularly responsible for coordinating activities and cooperation with external clients and international organizations.
From January 2020 to June 2022, she also worked on behalf of an event agency and the Ministry of Development and Technology, implementing an economic promotion programme: national stands and economic missions for Polish companies on foreign markets.
At the same time, since 2011 she has been running her consulting company In2Win and advises organizers and companies interested in organizing events, in particular trade fairs. She cooperates with various business entities in the field of economic promotion.
Żaneta Berus is an international jury member of EVENTEX – international competition on events
worldwide .
Żaneta Berus is also active in the Event Industry Association, as its director for international development (it is pro bono service), many years she was the Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry, a member of the Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association and a member of UFI - the World Association trade fair industry. She is active member of IAEE (International Association of Exhibitions and Events) and their licensed faculty of CEM (Certified in Exhibition Management) program worldwide (CEM Instructors Archive - IAEE).
For her activities for the benefit of local government and merits for the promotion of Poland, Żaneta Berus received the Silver Cross of Merit, the second most important state decoration, awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland. The event industry also appreciated her commitment. She was awarded the title of MP-12 as the best facility manager in the Venue-Supplier category,. Żaneta Berus received another industry distinction - the title of "Personality of the Year" in the "Object Manager"category, as well as the Badge of Merit for Tourism awarded by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

Mateusz Bodio

Mateusz Bodio is a founder and a Managing Director in RKKVC – a venture capital firm that invests in deep tech (AI, ML) companies from Europe as well as from the United States. Some of the flagship investments includes SpaceX, KarmaCheck or MoveAI. He is an entrepreneur with a demonstrated work experience in the USA, United Kingdom, Poland and Kazakhstan, on the other hand he has successful exit from a start-up in transport industry.

Before joining RKKVC, Mateusz worked in family office that that core business was heavy industry. The office has its own VC arm that invest in IoT and data science companies. Mateusz served as an adviser to portfolio companies and leveraged his professional network to create new opportunities and open business channels. Mateusz also held position as a management board and supervisory board member in companies from IoT 4.0 and data science/big data industry. 

Mateusz enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs and defining marketing and product strategies. He have advised, invested and raised capital for companies and venture capital firms across a spectrum of funding sources from angel investors to the CVC funds. Mateusz has masters in Law (PL), masters in business (UK) and postgraduate finance (PL/UK).

Kamil Boruta

Lawyer, financier, businessman

He specializes in corporate projects, investment projects, transaction advisory, mergers and acquisitions and sports law. Supports clients in day-to-day legal services for commercial companies, including public companies. He participates in cases where representation of clients in court proceedings is required, particularly in commercial, inheritance, family and criminal proceedings. Regardless of his intensive work, he engages in socially important initiatives and cases - pro bono. She provides ongoing legal advice to foundations and associations, including negotiating, drafting contracts and statutes, tax advice, compensation or bitcoin-related issues.

His professional portfolio includes servicing start-up entrepreneurs, projects related to recapitalization of companies, mergers, acquisitions, sales/purchases, as well as legal analysis. In addition, he serves clients in the areas of foreign currency loans, intellectual property rights, protection of personal property, as well as administrative proceedings or real estate matters.

Grzegorz Dadas

Practitioner professionally related to the INVESTIN Group, with experience in technology transfer processes and realisation of innovation projects. Advisor and trainer in acceleration and incubation programmes, expert in research on regional innovation. Current coordinator of the advisory part of the Akademia Menedżera Innowacji programme. Alumnus of the Lesław A. Paga Foundation. One of 30 participants of the Young Innovators programme.

Graduate of Bachelor's and Master's studies at ALK, laureate of the Ministry of Education and Science programme "Doktorat wdrożeniowy" edition VI (2022).

He has cross-sectional knowledge of the Polish innovation ecosystem, functioning of startups and consulting companies, strategic consulting, strategy development, partnership building and business modelling.

Justyna Gościńska

Business Unit Director Sport & Fitness, President of the Board in Medicover Sport sp. z o.o.
She gained her 20 years of experience in multinational and polish corporations. Most of that time she was responsible for the region of Eastern Europe, Central Europe, Russia, Turkey, North Africa and the Middle East. During that time she effectively managed all business processes in the areas of marketing, purchasing, e-commerce and sales for brands such as Levi Strauss, Monster Energy, 4F, Outhorn and Under Armour. Her most recent experience was as General Manager and President of the Board in GO Sport Polska sp. z o.o.
She is an MBA graduate from Oxford Brooks University. At Kozminski University, she completed the postgraduate course "Management in Fashion Industry" in 2011 in cooperation with Viamoda.
She has been an ICC Coach and Team Coach for 8 years, which has helped her develop the teams she has worked with, spread across as many as 17 European countries.
After work, she practices triathlon. At the “Kuźnia Triathlonu” club, she trains six times a week swimming, biking and running.

Daniel Idczak

Graduate of Wroclaw University of Technology and Kozminski University, where he completed postgraduate studies with a major in Management Academy. Future doctoral student, interested in leadership in the broadest sense.  

Managing director of global IT services in the Automotive industry.
From 2017 to 2020, he managed IT structures from the operational side in the European region.
Currently responsible for transformation and building and executing IT infrastructure services strategy, managing teams around the world.
He is a British Standards Institution certified ISO 27001 auditor.

He believes that achieving success requires constant development and crossing apparent boundaries. After working hours, he devotes himself to running training, which he says he doesn't like. Participation in mountain ultramarathons has shown him how to turn seemingly impossible things into feasible ones. He is currently preparing to complete a distance of 517 kilometers, which is far beyond the 100-kilometer mark he initially dreamed of. He is convinced that with the right attitude and support, it is possible to achieve any set goal.

Jakub Jarząbek

Graduate of bachelor and master studies at Akademia Leona Kozminskiego as well as postgraduate studies oriented on AI. Since the beginning working at financial planning and analysis. Currently working at Point72, US based hedge fund, where is responsible for budgeting and expenses allocation. In the free time enjoy cycling and reading good book.

Konrad Jędraszczak

A perfectionist through and through, who evaluates quality in a zero-one system. A graduate of the Executive MBA program at Kozminski University, which has significantly broadened his horizons and requirements, both for himself and others. For 14 years, he has had the pleasure of co-founding the family company WEDIA-ANN, which specializes in printing and promotional materials. Thanks to his out-of-the-box solutions, partnership approach and excellent industry knowledge, he has won the trust of companies such as Danone, HiPP, Procter&Gamble and Douglas, and the average "age" of his clients significantly exceeds 10 years.  

Konrad Jędraszczak is a Long Life Learner type - an EMCC Certified Coach, and has recently started a Coaching Course. Even in the most stressful situations, he demonstrates superhuman calm and composure, which are the result of years of experience gained during interdisciplinary implementations.

Strong thrill hunter and artistic soul in one, which is impossible to hide when seeing the creative disorder on his desk. For 19 years, a chorister of "Alla Polacca" at the National Opera in Warsaw. After hours, an avid motorcyclist, loving off-road rallies. Passionate about scuba diving, long-distance swimming and photography, who even... got engaged underwater.  As he says, the most beautiful thing is that he can pursue his passions together with his family. A proud dad of Oliwka and Natalka, he is in love up to his ears with his wife Anna.

Mickael Jin

Mickael is a graduate of Finance and Accounting at Kozminski University. He spent his academic years between Kedge Business School, France and Kozminski University, Poland where he obtained a Bachelor degree in Management and Master degree in Finance with the highest distinction. Mickael first gained experience in the business development field through internships in various startups while following his undergraduate study. During his Master years, he also participated in the CFA Research Challenge, covering PKN Orlen, ultimately reaching the Polish final.

Mickael started his professional career in 2019, joining the Investment Banking Division of Trigon Group, one of the leading Investment Banking firms in Poland and CEE region. Since then, Mickael has participated in a number of transactions in M&A, ECM and DCM fields. His noteworthy assignments within Trigon include, among others, the IPOs of Grupa Pracuj, Captor Therapeutics, and People Can Fly on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the acquisition of Wirecard's Romanian operations by European payment group, SIBS, the acquisition of a majority stake in Memsource, by the Carlyle Group, or the sale of a minority stake in Bloober Games to Tencent.

Marta Kowalczewska

IT Manager with broad experience gained in companies such as IBM and Roche. Professionally using mainly Agile (Scrum, Kanban), Waterfall (PMP, SDLC), Lean Startup and ITIL. In her free time working on PhD thesis and running research in the field of Product Management in Digital Health. Technology enthusiast experienced in online business and digital products creation and AI, Machine Learning and low code/no-code tools usage in business.

Jakub Kowalski

Jakub graduated from Poznan University of Technology with a degree in construction and logistics, as well as an MBA and completed postgraduate studies in Corporate Financial Management at Kozminski University. On a daily basis, he works as Director of the Logistics Office at Torpol S.A. He is involved in construction and logistics management. As a licensed engineer, he is able to build not only engineering facilities, but also management and strategic systems, teams and corporate culture.

Rita Emilia Kozłowska

Rita Emilia Kozłowska, born in 1993 in Etobicoke, Canada. Came to Poland at the age of 7 and began studying in Warsaw. Graduate Kozminski University, Psychology in management (bachelor degree), Management in virtual environment (master degree). During studies, she was involved in the work of ESN and the student council. She also attended courses at the universities of London, Sydney and Toronto. Later, she completed postgraduate studies in Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Member of the Asbiro Toastmasters club in which she was the president for 1 term. For 9 years she has been working at Komandor SA, where she started with the position of an Assistant in the Marketing Department, and now she is the Operations Director and Proxy. She has extensive knowledge in the field of running various departments in the company, from marketing through the construction department to managing IT projects. She specializes in management and planning. She believes that nothing is impossible, they just need to be well planned. Privately, she is passionate about traveling, DIY and training cycling.

Agnieszka Kręciszewska

Agnieszka Kręciszewska, currently CEO at Caparol Poland, and previously a long-time CFO at a number of companies, has many years of experience in the broadly understood area of finance and management gained in international production and trade companies with American, British and German capital. She participated in projects in the field of drafting the directions of the company's development, forming competitive advantages and value proposition, defining a marketing strategy (product, price, communication), building sales structures and developing their competences, creating and improving stock exchange and management reporting, business modeling, consolidation and restructuring , M&A, optimization and improvements (tax, processes), shaping the SSC / BPO functions.
She is a graduate of the University of Economics. She expanded her knowledge at numerous postgraduate studies of reputable universities such as the Warsaw School of Economics and Kozminski University. She also graduated from EMBA and CIMA. She has never been limited to finance, but also willingly supplemented her knowledge with the area of strategy, leadership, sales, marketing and production at leading local and foreign universities, such as ICAN, MSOE or Erasmus.

Grzegorz Krupnik

Successor and CEO of PROTECH => a family-owned manufacturing company. Graduate of the Cracow University of Economics. Postgraduate studies in project management (Tischner European University), production management (AGH University of Science and Technology) and Executive MBA (Kozminski University). He specializes in areas related to energy, RES, electromobility, metal industry, investment projects, Industry 4.0 and robotization. Privately, a squash fan.

Valeryia Kryvetskaya
Valeryia Kryvetskaya

Born in 1996 in Minsk, Belarus. Graduate in English of the Leon Kozminski Academy of Management with a specialization in Marketing. Participates in ALK's international student exchange program with Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, Japan. Currently Expert of Anti-Money Laundering department at Citibank Europe PLC (starting as a junior analyst). Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS).

Interests: Money laundering and countermeasure methods, due diligence in banking, political and economic crises, organized crime, travel, gastronomy tourism, language learning (currently Spanish and Italian), pole sports and acrobatics, interior design.

Artur Kulis

Graduate of Bachelor's and Master's studies in economics. In addition, he completed postgraduate studies in the field of Compliance Policy in the Organization at Kozminski University.

Arthur's professional career has been associated with banking from the very beginning. He started in the Telephone Customer Service Department and then he co-created the newly established Department of Telephone Sales of Banking Products. After a few years he joined the Compliance department in the areas of AML, KYC, Sanctions as well as ABC (Anti Bribery and Corruption) where he works to this day. Currently he holds an Expert position within the Independent Compliance Risk Management Department in Citibank Europe PLC.

Participant of numerous Compliance/AML training courses and Certified Compliance Officer. Former member of the Compliance Poland Association.

Rafał Kupnowicki

Graduated law at Koźmiński University in 2013. During the last 2 years of his studies he was a member of the criminal law section of the Student Legal Clinic.

From 2014 works in the Financial Intelligence Unit of Citibank Europe PLC, in which he went through all stages of development from an AML analyst to an AML Team Leader and senior manager backup. He is a certified anti-money laundering specialist with certificates from the UK International Compliance Association and the US Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists. As part of collaboration between Citi and local universities he gave lectures on basics of anti-money laundering at University of Warsaw and Kozminski University.
In his free time he is an amateur pizza-maker and a military enthusiast.

Florentyna Kurzeja
Florentyna Kurzeja-Art

Florentyna is a graduate of the War Studies University in a field of national security and the Kozminski University alumni of postgraduate studies -AML and Compliance Analyst. During her studies, she participated in Erasmus programs - studies at Ege University in Izmir,Turkey and internship at University of Porto, Portugal. Moreover Florentyna won internship at National Security Bureau at Armed Forces Supervision Department, which helped her find the right career path.
Since almost 5 years she has been working at Citibank Europe Plc, currently as an expert in the field of anti-money laundering. She is also Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS).
Flora specializes in monitoring the transactions of a retail client located in the United States and global institutional clients. In her department, she is a mentor and co-creator of a program aimed at the development of analysts.
Outside of work, she sews, doing some crafts and puzzles, she is also interested in interior design.

Anna Malinowska

PhD in Finance & Economics

Credit climate risk expert with in-depth understanding of EU Taxonomy regulations and sustainable financing best market practices. Experienced in multidimensional economic/sectoral analyses vis-à-vis climate risk & internal sustainable financing workshops. Holder of Sustainability and Climate Risk Certificate signed by Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Finance & Accounting graduate, analyst, (co)author of numerous internationally acclaimed empirical papers on institutional economics and corporate finance (chiefly published in Journal of Economic Issues and Emerging Markets Review). Reviewer of papers based on empirical findings regarding corporate finance and institutional economics in Central and Eastern Europe.

Despite being passionate about work, wellbeing and mental health issues remain fundamental for her. Practicing yoga in the early morning pre- office hours, going for strength and endurance workouts after hours. Finding peace on mountain trails.

Piotr Nowakowski

Piotr has experience in working for small enterprises as well as large international companies, and developing his own business.

During his finance and accounting studies at Kozminski University, he took part in a managerial program in corporate banking at Citi.
Further he worked in a family office, providing services for clients with the HNWI profile. In the meantime, utilizing contacts developed during his studies, he became a shareholder of two companies: a technology start-up and a company operating on the real estate market.

Currently Piotr is developing his competences in the field of technical business analysis at Citi Private Bank, connecting business with the IT world.

Dorota Paluch

Coach, Mentor

Graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and MBA at GFKM. Completed postgraduate studies in HR and Coaching at Kozminski University. Financial director for an international corporation with many years of experience and statutory auditor qualifications. Has expertise in management accounting, controlling, financial analysis and profitability of investments, as well as financial risk management, including hedging currency transactions. Has extensive knowledge in the field of preparation, settlement, and implementation of individual budget lines, as well as optimization of business processes, cost structures, and level of fixed assets.

Takes great interest in people, looking for their strengths and developing their personal potential. She is passionate about coaching in terms of increasing self-esteem and confidence. As an experienced manager and FRIS® trainer, she provides support during change, facilitates stress-management techniques, helps prioritize tasks, and  retain life balance.

Iryna Pauliak

Iryna Pauliak, a former Finance & Accounting student of KU. She has 1,5 years of experience working in Venture Capital fund as an Investment Analyst. Before that, she gained experience of working as Recruiter, Real-estate agent and Volunteer.

At some point, she decided to change her career and she switched to Recruitment. Currently, she is working as Talent Sourcer in FinTech start-up in Berlin.

Andrzej Pałys

From the very beginning of his professional career, Andrzej has been involved in dispute resolution, including commercial disputes and all aspects of debt collection. Since joining Kochański & Partners over a decade ago, Andrzej has risen through the ranks from legal assistant to partner and head of practice.
In his currently managed practice, Andrzej represents the largest Polish banks in criminal, commercial and civil disputes, including disputes regarding the so-called "Swiss franc loans".
Previously, for several years Andrzej was involved in providing litigation services to one of the leading press publishers, including in legal proceedings regarding infringement of personal rights, and as a defence attorney in defamation cases. He is experienced in debt collection for large organisations. He has also represented manufacturers from the automotive industry in civil and criminal disputes. As part of his aviation law practice, Andrzej has advised aviation industry companies, including carriers and airports.

Łukasz Pelowski

I am a manager with 20 years of experience in managing small and medium-sized enterprises.
Specialized in planning and implementing growth strategies, negotiations and building company value.
I set up my first company in college. Then I created, modified and developed a number of business ideas from various industries.
Currently, I'm involved in the development of companies: Secret Garden Group and Biuro56, I also invest in the stock market.
Privately, I do boxing and climbing. I love traveling. I also like reading and learning foreign languages.

Joanna Pindelska

Graduate of Kozminski University MBA Program for Engineers. Graduate from Warsaw Technical University -  ISiW (Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering). Coach of SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Warsaw, Poland.

Joanna has practical knowledge of managing construction and exploitation of gas networks, both from technical point of view as well as organizational. She has many years of experience in the gas industry and currently is serving as an expert for Polska Spółka Gazownictwa

Joanna promotes intergenerational cooperation, knowledge transfer and plays a role of a mentor to younger colleagues. In addition to her primary job she coaches project management and helps others to improve their managerial skills.

Joanna strongly believes in continuous self-development and education while increasing soft skills and adapting to ever changing environments. She enjoys coaching and mentoring.

Zofia Romanowska

Director of regulatory affairs Ørsted Poland
With Ørsted since 2020, since December 2021 she has headed the regulatory team of the Polish office.
Graduate of law at the University of Warsaw and finance and accounting at the Warsaw School of Economics.
Doctor of Laws at ALK (defense June 2022).
Specializes in international and domestic energy transition regulations, particularly in topics related to the reconstruction of energy markets to achieve climate neutrality, regulatory development and investment projects in new technologies and sectors, particularly offshore wind energy.
Prior to joining Ørsted, she spent many years advising private and public entities on the application of renewable support schemes, as well as on strategic investment planning in the context of the regulatory aspects of energy and industrial investment projects while working for leading law firms and the regulatory team of a major energy company. She also has experience in EU regulation gained during a year-long assignment in Brussels.

Sebastian Ryba

He gained his experience at one of the largest private Investment Management Compaty in Poland. He co-established and administered Luxembourg investment funds. In 2018, he became the youngest holder of an Investment Company Agent license in Poland. Since 2021, he is co-founder of KWLM Inwestycje, where he is a partner and client advisor. He supports entrepreneurs on the wealth-building path and manages investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals.

He is a graduate of Finance and Accounting at Warsaw School of Economics and Kozminski University. He defended his thesis on the topics of technical analysis and hedge fund efficiency.

Stanisław Siwko

Eryk Skolarski

Senior Event Manager
Associated with the event industry since 2013. Practitioner and theoretician of event marketing, experienced as an event director. Eryk has gained experience while working on over 300 events for brands such as McDonald's, Coca-Cola HBC, Empik, BNP Paribas, PEKAO S.A., Michelin, Samsung, Vision Express, Philip Morris International, Bosch and many others.
As a producer, he has worked with the largest event agencies in Poland, including Master Brand and Allegro Brand Experience Agency. Since 2022, he has been associated with the HOLO marketing agency.

Agnieszka Skowronek

I specialise in M&A transactions, restructurings of capital groups, negotiations, especially of strategic projects. I gained my professional experience in reputable law firms and as an in-house lawyer. In July 2018, I joined Eurocash Group as Head of legal M&A; in September 2022, I assumed the position of Director of Legal Department (General Counsel).

I am an attorney-at-law; I graduated from the Jagiellonian University with a law degree, postgraduate studies in Business Valuation at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and an Executive MBA at the Kozminski University. I am constantly developing my managerial competences - I am the Director of the Legal Department of the Eurocash Group and a member of the Management Board of an FMCG company belonging to the Eurocash Group.

At Staffly, he also performs duties of Product Owner and Head of Marketing. A graduate of the Kozminski University in Warsaw, privately a football and electronic music enthusiast, he finds a marketing flair on the basis of observing market trends. Natalia Walas-Marcinek

23 years of experince in pharmaceutical industry in the field of enterprise management and growth as well as new product development. During 1999-2010 worked in international company GlaxoSmithKline in R&D and Quality Departments, than during 2010-2013 in Phytopharm belonging to Martin Bauer Holding, which successfully led to launch of a number of new products. During 2013-2022 held the position of CEO of Curtis Health Caps, achieving growth of company annual revenues from approx. 15 to 138 mln PLN and leading position in the Polish market and significant position abroad in the contract manufacturing segment. Mariusz Wnuk

Market Research Lead at the American law firm White & Case. For more than 7 years he has been working in global consulting companies and law firms. He gained experience, among others in Deloitte, Dentons and MDDP.

Agnieszka Zasikowska

Agnieszka Zasikowska, PhD-  tax advisor with over 30 years of experience in business, many years of practice as a financial director, having an international CIMA diploma in management accounting. She has developed and implemented many solutions adapting business models to current business requirements, increasing intra-organizational efficiency and implementing corporate governance processes. She  solves complex tax issues related to  business projects, while having a good understanding of business goals and models as well as innovative solutions.

Kacper Zdunek

He has been involved in the Internet marketing market for over 10 years. He started his adventure with marketing at the age of 17, and before founding ClickInStory, he worked for two years at New Balance. There he served as Project Manager and was responsible for influencer marketing and all promotional activities of the fitness department. During that time, he also carried out projects for such companies as: Electronic Arts, Ubisoft (campaign awarded with 2 industry awards), ASUS and Logitech.

Kamil Zieliński

An entrepreneur and an enthusiast of great design, born in 1990 in Bialystok. A graduate of Economics of the University of Bialystok, as well as a scholarship holder. In 2015 completed his Master's thesis in Management in Virtual Environment at Kozminski University, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Grzegorz Mazurek. Four years later took on and finished a postgraduate program at the Institute of Industrial Design - Total Design Management. He has been developing furniture brands for nine years, the most widely recognised of which is the Górna Półka brand, with its sales and marketing embedded exclusively in digital. In 2017, honoured by The First Million [„Pierwszy Milion”] monthly magazine published by Forbes. In 2020, awarded in the competition organised by the Marshal of Podlaskie, Podlaska Marka Roku [Podlasie - The Brand of the Year]. He participated in the ongoing progression of e-commerce in Poland and witnessed its growth on a day-to-day basis. Motivated by his own ambition and willingness to take risks he developed a company with its own highly advanced production facility starting with a limited budget.
