International exchange - Students with fewer opportunities

International exchange - Students with fewer opportunities

A person with fewer opportunities is a potential participant whose personal physical, mental, or health-related condition would make their participation in the mobility project/action impossible without additional financial or other support. Higher education institutions that select students or staff with fewer opportunities may apply to the national agency for additional funding to cover the additional costs associated with the participation of such individuals in mobility activities. As a result, for participants with fewer opportunities, particularly those suffering from physical, mental, and health-related conditions, the funding may be higher than the maximum amount of individual support specified below. Additional funding for students and staff with fewer opportunities may also come from other sources at the local, regional, or national level. Accompanying persons of students and staff with fewer opportunities are eligible to receive funding based on actual costs.

Students and Recent Graduates with Fewer Opportunities – Supplementary Grant for Individual Support

Students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities receive a supplementary grant for individual support under the EU funding from the Erasmus+ program, amounting to 250 EUR per month. The criteria to be applied are determined at the national level by the national agencies in agreement with national authorities.

Students and Recent Graduates on Internships – Supplementary Grant for Individual Support

Students and recent graduates participating in internships will receive additional supplementary grants for individual support under the EU funding from the Erasmus+ program, amounting to 150 EUR per month. Students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities undertaking internships are eligible to receive the supplementary grant for students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities, as well as the supplementary grant for the internship.

Students and Recent Graduates with Fewer Opportunities – Supplementary Allowance for Short-Term Physical Mobility Support

Students and recent graduates with fewer opportunities receive a supplementary allowance for individual support under EU funding from the Erasmus+ program, amounting to 100 EUR for a physical mobility period lasting 5–14 days and 150 EUR for a period lasting 15–30 days. The criteria to be applied are determined at the national level by the national agencies in agreement with national authorities.

The supplementary allowance for internships does not apply in this case. EU Member States and associated third countries in the Program include the most remote regions, as well as countries and overseas territories.
