Integration trips and special events
Kozminski is not only about learning and exams. We make sure that our students have the opportunity for entertainment and recreation after classes. Events, such as the hazings and halfway parties, organized in Warsaw clubs by the Student Council, as well as kozminalia and sports camps are an opportunity to have fun, integrate our community and take care of their form.
KOZMINALIA
KOZMINALIA is Kozminski University's annual student carneval – our greatest celebration integrating the whole KU community – students, lecturers, administrative staff and graduates. KOZMINALIA are held every year at the turn of May and June before the summer exam session.
Our campus is handed over to students who show creativity to develop the main theme of the event, so that the fun goes on in a unique atmosphere. We moved, among others, to picturesque Italy and the hot Caribbean. The slogan of the latest event, during which we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the University, was: "Back to the Future". The program of the event includes many sport and cultural attractions, as well as various competitions and an evening party.
Integration-Sports Camps
Traditionally, in September, before the beginning of the academic year, KU students go to a sports camp to the Mazury Lake District – in Zabinka. There, they carry out not only a sports and entertainment program, but also a scientific one, allowing them to pass a part of the classes in a semester. Participation in the camp also relieves them from attending PE classes.
In the winter, an integration camp is organized in the Alps, during which students acquire or polish their skills on skis or snowboard. The program also includes: volleyball games in the snow, après-ski parties, and a wellness area available every day.
In the summer vacations the Student Council invites you for a sailing trip on the Mediterranean Sea.
Kozminski Beskid Trip
Kozminski Beskid Trip is a series of mountain rallies aimed at crossing the famous Main Beskid Trail – the longest marked hiking trail in the Polish mountains, which leads from Ustroń in the Silesian Beskid to the town of Wołosate in the Bieszczady Mountains. The participants of the rally are students and staff of our University, including the Rector, Prof. Grzegorz Mazurek.
During the first rally in 2022, our team conquered such peaks as Równica, Czantoria, Soszów, Stożek and Barania Góra, and in 2023 – Rysianka, Pilsko and Babia Góra.
The 3rd edition of the rally is planned for 2024.
