Fintech and Digital Transformation in Finance (Major on the Financial Management bachelor program)

Finance became much more exciting with digital transformation and FinTech solutions based on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning. These technologies revolutionize financial services by making them more efficient, effective, and accessible. Top professional associations and business leaders forecast great job perspectives for open-minded young professionals with deep financial knowledge and a passion for new-era skills that know how to use modern technologies to improve business results.

This major is based on the latest best practices delivered to the classroom by KU business partners, especially by Goldman Sachs, the major's strategic partner. During the classes, you will explore digital transformation trends in both financial and non-financial sectors, including such technologies as blockchains, P2P or cryptocurrencies. You will also learn how to analyze and use digital solutions to enable close business partnerships and develop new business models, which opens the employment (and self-employment) options widely.

You do not need any programming skills to apply for the major: the program is focused on the implementation of digital solutions without the Data Science behind it. Instead, you will learn how to use your financial knowledge in cooperation with data scientists and programmers to manage digital transformation and incorporate latest technologies into business.

Please be advised that the major will launch only if a minimum number of 17 students sign up for the major.

During your studies, you will gain knowledge and practical skills in the areas of:
