What does the history of space exploration and global challenges of today have in common? - meeting with Erik Conway
Are you interested in space exploration? Do you know the history of the Apollo program by heart and follow the launches of the new Falcon 9 with blazes on your face ? Or is it the very beginning of your adventure in this sector and you desperately want to learn more?
If your answer to any of these questions is positive, please join us in Auditorium II at Kozminski University on September 17 at 5:00 pm. On that date NASA’s very own Erik Conway, currently serving as a historian at the famous Jet Propulsion Laboratory, will pay us a visit. Erik's work covers topics at the intersection of science and technology in the space sector, and he is the author of several widely recognized books. These include “The Big Myth: How American Business Taught us to Loathe the Government and Love the Free Market,” co-written with Naomi Oreskes, and “A History of Near-Earth Objects Research,” co-authored with Donald K Yeomans and Meg Rosenburg of NASA. During this event you will learn interesting facts about working at NASA, learn more about space technologies first-hand, and finally be able to ask all your questions about the history of space exploration to a person who is an invaluable source of “insider info” on the subject.
