On May 11th and 12th, 2022 from 11:00 AM till 2:00 PM (CEST) in Room A/208 or online, Prof. Thomas Hogan will deliver a course: ”Money and Cryptocurrency”.
This course will discuss the theories of money and finance as applied to cryptocurrencies. We will explore the historical origins and production of money and the recent emergence of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. We will use economic theories of banking and finance to study the new field of decentralized finance (DeFi). We will discuss nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and other applications of blockchain technology.
Prof. Thomas Hogan is a senior researcher from the American Institute for Economic Research. Former Chief Economist at Committee on Banking, Housing, & Urban Affairs in the United States Senate.
