We have something special for you. Our aim is to bring a new quality to university life by creating a space for those interested in detective work, criminology, law, investigative psychology, and related fields. This initiative is designed for people who enjoy analytical thinking, asking the right questions, and uncovering what is not visible at first glance.
“Detectives Club” is an organization where theory meets practice. Our goal is to develop analytical skills, explore the realities of a detective’s work, and jointly examine contemporary challenges related to security, law, and technology. We want to build a community of students who are not afraid to think outside the box and take action.
We are creating a platform for students to showcase their abilities through thematic research projects, academic publications, and organized conferences, where they will have the opportunity to present their achievements. We invite you to help shape the academic program of our club and actively participate. Do you have an idea for the club’s direction? With us, you will gain the space and support to turn it into reality.
We are planning meetings with professionals representing the detective profession — including former top specialists, experts, founders of major police investigative units, as well as individuals who have participated in shaping the legal framework of the profession, along with representatives of various academic fields influencing the definition of rights, responsibilities, and procedures within this profession.
Agenda of the inaugural meeting:
- Opening – speech by the DC Board – introduction of the leadership, vision, and mission of the club
- Presentation of the academic supervisor – Prof. Dr. Hab. Jolanta Jabłońska-Bońca
- Guest lecture by Attorney & Detective Dr. Marcin Berent, Prof. AWS titled “Contemporary Challenges of Polish Detective Work”
- Q&A session and open discussion
- Networking
We look forward to seeing you at the inauguration!
Kind regards, The Detectives Club Board
