ESG Academy: How ESG Impacts Your Future and Companies

Dear Students, Graduates, and Friends of Kozminski University, It is a pleasure to announce our next ESG Academy meeting!

Every 1-2 months, we invite you to an inspirational meeting with the best experts in the field of ESG, Sustainable Development, and green finance. The events are organized in a hybrid formula, so it is up to you if you want to join us on the University campus or online on the MS Teams platform. What will be discussed during the meeting?

 

  • new regulatory requirements related to disclosing sustainability data - CSRD 
  • the reporting demands which comes from ESRS
  • how the reporting can speed the sustainable transformation
  • different roles in the process of ESG data management and reporting 
  • sustainability management - the role of whole organisation
  • sustainable transformation - is our common responsibility

Maria Krawczyńska-Kaczmarek

Management Board Member, Responsible Business Forum in Poland

Leader, expert, manager, passionate, trainer and lecturer with over ten years of experience in the field of sustainable development, ESG, CSR and sustainable finance.

Highly involved in local and European initiatives around education and the promotion of sustainability.

Since March 2024, she has been a member of the EFRAG Banking Advisory Panel, supporting the preparation of Sector-Specific ESRS. She was also a member of the EFRAG working group on developing an I set of European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) for the EU in accordance with the CSRD (2021-2023). 

Initiator and founding member of the POLSIF Association - Sustainable Investment Forum Poland.

From 2017 to 2023, Maria was responsible for managing and implementing the Sustainability Strategy of BNP Paribas Bank Poland, creating the Sustainability area in the bank, introducing integrated reporting as well as developing the area of sustainable finance and creating a competence center for structuring sustainable products. Initiator of the Bank of Green Change programme. Member of the Management Board of the BNP Paribas Foundation.

Previously in the Deloitte Sustainability Consulting Central Europe team, Maria was responsible for projects in the area of non-financial reporting and strategic CSR/ESG management, carrying out projects for business and institutional clients in Poland and the CEE region. She had also gained professional experience in the field of corporate social responsibility in Tchibo Warsaw and in the Polish Donors Forum in the area of corporate philanthropy.

Alumna of the Responsible Business League. Graduate of economics from the University of Warsaw and management from the Warsaw School of Economics. She completed the Sustainable Finance course at the University of Cambridge.

Privately an active social activist and volunteer. Deeply believes in the synergy of business and social goals, with the motto "the human being first".
