"Deporting Eastern European nationals: EU citizenship and migration control in Schengenland"
The department of Criminal Law at Kozminski University organizes open lecture about "Deporting Eastern European nationals: EU citizenship and migration control in Schengenland."
The meeting will be conducted by Prof. José A. Brandariz, who is an associate professor of criminal law and criminology at the University of A Coruna, Spain and a former member of the executive board of the European Society of Criminology (2016-2019). Over his 25-year academic career, Prof Brandariz has published some twenty books and 150 journal articles and book chapters, and has given lectures and courses in some twenty European and American countries, focusing on criminal law, penal policies, criminology and penology issues. Prof. José A. Brandariz, who will be visiting the Department as part of the Erasmus program and will also conduct lectures for our students: "Faraway, so close? A comparative exploration of the Polish and Spanish prison systems"; "Penal populism is over? Climate change in the penal field".
Comments to the lecture will be presented by Assoc. Prof. Witold Klaus, INP PAN - criminologist and migration researcher, a member of the Migration Research Center of the University of Warsaw and the Board of the Association for Legal Intervention.
