We hereby cordially invite you to the seminar entitled "Defense in the space sector. Central European perspective", which will be held on January 29, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Kozminski University and on the Teams platform, organized by Prof. Katarzyna Malinowska from the Centre for Space Studies.
The Seminar will focus on security and defense aspects from the perspective of the space sector in Central and Eastern Europe. The Seminar will include an introductory lecture by US expert Paul Szymanski on the global perspective of space superpowers, as well as an expert discussion of the most topical issues including international competition in the area of defense, European cooperation in this area, taking into account the role of Central European countries, as well as legal aspects of the militarization of outer space.
The discussion will be moderated by Pawel Fleischer of the Polish Space Professionals Association. Seminar is a part of the research project: “The development of the European and national defence industry and defence innovation in the European Union's common defence policy: legal framework from a central European perspective” led by Central European Academy in Budapest.
