ENERGiES – European Network for Research Training in Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Managerial Innovation

ENERGiES is a three year Erasmus+ project implemented by a consortium of higher education institutions: the University of Montpellier (France), University of Barcelona (Spain), Kozminski University (Poland), and a business partner – Réseau Entreprendre (France). Its aim is to create an integrated European research training programme in the area of sustainable management and entrepreneurship. 

The project covers a development pathway from students’ first contact with research, through preparation of students planning to pursue doctoral studies, including both the development of a doctoral dissertation concept and formal preparation of applications for doctoral programmes. 

Project objectives

  • Increasing the attractiveness of the academic career path in the area of sustainable management and entrepreneurship. 

  • Development of a joint training programme for second-cycle (master’s level) students preparing for a research career. 

  • Creation of a European network of cooperating universities and researchers, and strengthening links with business. 

  • Development of a pedagogical model preparing future doctoral candidates to undertake doctoral studies and promoting international cooperation in this area. 

Planned activities

  • International online training sessions and seminars for second-cycle students. 

  • Annual international spring schools organised by the project partners. 

  • Mentoring and workshops supporting the preparation of research proposals and doctoral programme applications. 

  • Cooperation with companies to identify research topics relevant to business practice. 

  • Development of training modules and teaching materials for potential doctoral candidates (at the second-cycle level).
