Division of Financial and Tax Law

The Division of Financial and Tax Law deals with teaching and research in the field of legal aspects of public finance. 

Currently, the employees of the Division are conducting research on the following issues: 

- the principle of proportionality in tax law (Associate Professor Artur Mudrecki), 

- personalization of income taxation (Associate Professor Robert Zieliński), 

- estimation of tax base by means of assessment (Rafał Pasternak, PhD). 

The organizational activity of the Division includes the organization of numerous conferences and scientific seminars, i.g. Nationwide Scientific Conference on Tax Law "Tax Legislation" organized together with the Mazovian Branch of the National Chamber of Tax Advisors and the Tax Law Forum - a series of monthly meetings of tax law practitioners and theorists on current tax problems. 

The employees of the Division also support the activities of the Student’s Tax Law  Science Club operating at the College of Law at KU and participate in the activities of the VAT Research Center.
