Scholarships for Master's Studies

Target Group:

  • Graduates of first- or second-cycle studies and five-year master’s programs.

Objective:

  • Scholarship for full second-cycle studies or postgraduate studies in Germany.

Research Stays for Doctoral Candidates and Young Researchers

Objective:

  • Funding for short- and long-term research stays.

Duration:

  • 1-12 months.

  • Travel allowance and health insurance.

Requirements:

Scholarships for Learning German

Intensive Language Courses

Application Procedure

How to Apply?

  1. Select a program on the DAAD website.
  2. Obtain an invitation from a German institution (if required).
  3. Prepare documents (including a motivation letter, CV, research plan, recommendations, and certificates).
  4. Submit the application via the DAAD portal.

Application Deadlines:

  • Vary depending on the program, typically between September and December.

Language Requirements

German Language:

  • Accepted certificates: Goethe-Institut, TestDaF, DSD II, DSH, Telc Deutsch, ÖSD, German/Austrian high school diploma.
  • OnSET test conducted by DAAD lecturers.

English Language:

  • Accepted certificates: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESOL.
  • OnSET test available at the DAAD office in Warsaw.

Candidates pursuing studies in English must also provide proof of German language proficiency, even if they do not speak German (except for applicants in artistic fields).
