Piotr Kaczmarek-Kurczak, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics. In his research work, he focuses on such subjects as modern forms of entrepreneurship (start-ups, born global, space sector, Industry 4.0, creative sectors) and the building of innovation systems based on knowledge in private companies and public and self-government institutions. He implements intrapreneurial projects in companies – especially in the field of innovation development, knowledge management, and the use of modern technologies. He is a member of the Space Studies Center at Kozminski University/ESA_Lab@Kozminski He is an external expert of the Future Industry Platform – a government institution dealing with the transformation of Polish industry according to the ideas of Industry 4.0. He authored articles on Industry 4.0 development published on przemyslprzyszlosci.gov.pl, along with articles on management, entrepreneurship, and business in the Polityka weekly.

 

Research projects:

January 1, 2012–October 31, 2014 – Capital Business Forum, program name: “Operational Programme Human Capital. Priority VIII. Regional Human Resources for the Economy. Measure 8.1. Developing a Workforce and Enterprises in the Region;” domestic project, no. UDA-POKL.08.01.02-14-137/11, researcher.

October 19, 2007–April 18, 2010 – “Przedsiębiorczość międzynarodowa w Polsce” (International Entrepreneurship in Poland), own research project, no. N N115 2566 33 / 2566/B/H03/2007/33, researcher.

 

Awards:

Kozminski University Rector’s Award for scientific achievements in 2011, 2013, and 2016.

Most significant academic achievements:

2014–2016 – Founder and first Head of the Examination Center: a testing and examining institution of Kozminski University.

Since 2020 – head of the Entrepreneurship specialization for Bachelor students in Polish.

2020 and 2021 – co-author of training programs implemented by the Future Industry Platform on digital transformation and Industry 4.0 development for Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu SA.
