Our projects: TiGRE (Horizon 2020)

Trust in Governance and Regulation in Europe

In TiGRE we investigate under which conditions regulatory regimes are trusted by analysing the interactions between the involved actors. We aim to draw a more encompassing picture of trust dynamics and understand their drivers as well as their political and socio-economic effects. TiGRE is a multidisciplinary research project which benefits from the expertise of nine top-level universities and research centres and one SME, from nine different countries, bringing together a broad range of theoretical and methodological skills. TiGRE receives funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The project started on 1 January 2020 and will run until 30 June 2023.

Our Projects: The National Science Centre

The growing importance of partnerships between companies is considered to be one of the most important trends. Despite the key role of trust and control in the management of inter-organizational relations, we still do not fully understand what the relationship is and how it evolves over time. In this research project we plan to run three interrelated field studies: (1) a quantitative survey among Polish businesses implementing cooperation strategies; (2) a qualitative field research to gain insight into the relationship between trust and control by looking at specific management practice; (3) a methodological study focused on the creation of research tools of trust and control in interfirm relations.

The project receives funding from National Science Center (grant number 2020/37/B/HS4/02940) and will run from 1.10.2020 till 1.10.2024.

Our Projects: Trust towards financial regulation in Poland

Trust plays a key role in relations on regulated markets. It enables the efficient functioning and development of the financial market.

Trust in the financial market is created in an interaction between three groups of actors: supervisory authority, suppliers of products and services and consumers. In the area of the regulated financial market in Poland, these actors are: The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (the KNF), suppliers of products and services in the area supervised by KNF (e.g., banks) and consumers.

Our research is the only project in Poland to comprehensively diagnose consumer trust in financial supervision. In the study, we rely on a complex, three-dimensional tool for assessing the trustworthiness of the Polish supervision agency; and on that basis evaluating trust. The three dimensions of the trustworthiness that we examined are: competence, benevolence, and integrity.
