Accessibility and support
Accessibility and Wellbeing Office
“We are here to support you, creating a safe place and space for support where you can count on openness, understanding, and confidentiality.”
Marzena Indra, Michał Godlewski
The Accessibility and Well-being Office is a place where students, doctoral students, listeners, and employees of the Academy can seek support. The office staff provide two types of support: immediate psychological assistance in crisis situations and assistance in matters related to equal opportunities in access to studies or employment obligations for people with special needs.
Meetings at the DiD Office take the form of individual consultations, a series of intervention meetings, and psychoeducational group meetings or workshops. Consultations are confidential, regardless of the issue raised.
Office staff are the first point of contact at the Academy for matters that negatively affect the course of study or constitute a barrier to access to academic life. The office will work out a common, feasible solution to the reported problem, and depending on the case, representatives of other organizational units of the university may also be involved in the process – in which case the office staff will be responsible for initiating the necessary actions.
The Office for Accessibility and Well-being is also responsible for providing information on the possibility of obtaining psychological assistance in the form of free consultations at a partner organization, the MindMed Institute, as well as at external entities offering psychological support in crisis situations.
