Dear Students,
The Scholarship Commission divided financial resources from the Ministry of Education granted to the students of our University for academic year 2008/2009.
Rules for dividing the funds on which the Commission based their decisions are as follows:
1. According to the Rules for Financial Aid the amount for scholarships is divided proportionally between all Polish programs and the English Track. Percentage of the number of students of a given program in the total number of students determined the share of funds granted to that program.
2. The Commission decided that:
- 35% of the funds is allocated to first degree scholarships
- 35% of the funds is allocated to second degree scholarships
- 30% of the funds is allocated to third degree scholarships
3. The amount allocated to scholarships of each degree is divided by the intended amount of a single scholarship of that degree (e.g. 450PLN for 1st degree scholarship) and thus a total number of scholarships of that degree is determined.
4. Proportionally, by multiplying the total number of scholarships of a given degree (e.g. 60 1st degree scholarships) by the percentage share of a given program in the total number of students and thus (as explained above) the total amount of funds (e.g. administration 7.9%) the commission decided how many scholarships of each degree will be granted to students in each program (e.g. administration – 5 1st degree scholarships).
5. A number of students with best results is marked, according to the rules above, on the list of all student s of a given program. Thus minimum GPA for scholarship in each program will differ.
Students who are to receive scholarships according to the list must collect written administrative decisions in person from the scholarship office ASAP.
