Dates and facts
Since 1998 Kozminski University has held rights to grant Ph.D. degrees in management. In 1999 we initiated our Ph.D. program. For the last 5 years, as the only private university in Poland, we have been also entitled to grant habilitation degrees in management, allowing us also to offer full-fledged Ph.D. studies. We also hold Ph.D. granting rights in economics.

Program description:
The Kozminski University holds faculties to award PhD degrees in the field of Management Studies since 1998. In 2003 as the only non-public university we have been given faculties to also award senior doctor degrees (habilitacja). The main purpose of PhD studies is to prepare students to perform their scientific research which will result in their own PhD theses. During the program 4 separate modules are carried out including over 400 hours of classes in total. The subjects of studies include strategic management, enterprise management, human resource management, managerial accounting, managing finances, psycho-sociological problems of management, managing people within an organization, managing in public administration, ethics in business, the use of ethics in management and marketing.
Duration:
3 years (6 semesters) + preparation for final defence
Tuition:
26 100 PLN (4350 PLN per semester); 3000 PLN for a PhD seminar; 2000 PLN for
PhD defence; 450 PLN admission fee (an installment plan is available).
Tuition for ever semester can be paid in the form of a single payment or installments (x5 in every semester).
The tuition includes participation in lectures, workshops, language classes, consultations with lecturers, first examination in every subject and one make-up examination, commission examination and the final defense (if passed within three months of completing the course).
Recruitment fee is 650PLN (450PLN for PhD studies) - it is a onetime payment (nonrefundable), to be paid upon application. The recruitment fee should be paid to the following account:

Requirements:
University graduates holding a Master’s diploma may apply for the PhD programme. Admission is based on the outcome of a personal interview. A certificate of English language proficiency for foreigners (unless the previous degree was taught in English or English).
